NJCHA Membership Information

How can you make yourself a more valuable member of your college health program? Join the New Jersey College Health Association! More than 75 dedicated individuals working in every aspect of the college health field and representing over 18 institutions of higher education in New Jersey have become members of our association.  Working together, we can impact the quality of health care provided to New Jersey college students.

Membership in the New Jersey College Health Association is open to anyone with an interest in college health and who has paid the annual dues. Membership attests to interest and commitment which is an encouragement to those involved in program planning. It provides communication among college health personnel. Revenues are used mainly to provide high-quality continuing education programs related to current college health issues in New Jersey.

Currently 18 institutions of higher education are members of NJCHA. They include the following: Bergen Community College, College of Saint Elizabeth, Drew University, Fairleigh Dickinson University - Metropolitan and Florham Campuses, Felician College, Georgian Court University, Kean University, New Jersey City University,  Princeton University, the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Rider University, Rowan University, Rutgers University, Saint Peter's College, Seton Hall University, Ramapo College of New Jersey, and The College of New Jersey.

To become an individual, institutional or corporate member of NJCHA, choose one of the following 4 membership categories:

Individual Regular Member

Dues are $40 per membership year*

You are eligible for individual regular membership if you:

  • Provide health services to students at an institution of higher education
  • Are on the staff of an institution of higher education

Benefits include:

  • Access to the Members-Only section
  • Access to member directory
  • Access to online health links
  • Calendar of upcoming professional development programs in the country
  • Participation on NJCHA committees and executive board
  • Voting and nomination privileges
  • Award nomination privileges
  • NJCHA listserv
  • Discounted registration fee for NJCHA general meetings
  • Access to general meeting presentation handouts (if available)

Become an Individual Regular Member ($40)...

 

Institutional Member

Dues are $40 per membership year*

Institutional membership is open to any institution of higher education in New Jersey that offers a program of study applicable toward an associate, baccalaureate, or a higher degree, and which is fully accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Upon payment of institutional membership dues, each member institution shall designate one Representative of the Member Institution (RMI). The RMI serves as the NJCHA contact, receives all institutional membership information, plus a free Individual Regular membership. This is also the address that will be used in the online Membership Directory. The RMI is accorded all privileges of individual regular membership in NJCHA.

Individual Associate Member

Dues are $40 per membership year*

You are eligible for an associate membership if you are not eligible for regular membership. Benefits include:

  • Discounted registration fee for NJCHA general meetings

Corporate Sponsorship

Dues are $400 per membership year*

Open to health and business organizations that may wish to support NJCHA in furtherance of its objectives. All corporate memberships must be approved by the NJCHA Executive Board. Corporate members may designate representatives who may attend NJCHAs general meetings at regular membership rates. Corporate members are not charged a vendors fee for a table at NJCHA's general meetings. Limitations of membership are the same as an associate member. Corporate members cannot join the NJCHA listserv.
